Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year

Caprock Academy’s Kindergarten admission for the 2024-2025 school year will begin on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Prospective families will need to fill out the 2024-2025 Intent to Enroll Form. This form will be available for download from our website or picked up from the school office on or after January 31, 2024.

Completed Intent to Enroll Forms for the Kindergarten Lottery will be accepted by the Registrar from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on the following dates:

February, 12th – Feb. 15th (Monday-Thursday)

February, 20th – Feb. 22nd (Tuesday-Thursday)

February, 26th – Feb. 29th (Monday-Thursday)

Completed Intent to Enroll Forms will also be accepted from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on the following dates:

February 13th (Tuesday)

February 27th (Tuesday) 

All Intent to Enroll Forms turned in after Thursday, February 29th at 1:30 pm may be placed on the waitlist, according to the date and time the Intent to Enroll Form was accepted by the Registrar. Please Note: For the 2024-2025 school year, Caprock Academy intends to offer both full-time Kindergarten and a morning half-time Kindergarten option.  Half-time Kindergarten will be contingent upon a minimum of eight students registering for it by Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:30 p.m.  If the minimum number of requests for half-time Kindergarten are not received, Caprock would then offer full-time Kindergarten only. Families that chose half-time would be contacted before the lottery to ask if they would like to consider full-time Kindergarten instead.

Kindergarten Admissions & Enrollment: Understanding the Process

2024-2025 Kindergarten Enrollment Procedures

Step One:  Fill out an Intent to Enroll Form - Intent to Enroll Forms will be available on January 31, 2024.  You may download the form from our website at www.caprockacademy.org or stop by the school office Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. 

Step Two:  Turn in your Intent to Enroll Form - You must meet with the Registrar in-person to turn in the Intent to Enroll Form. Forms will be accepted beginning on February 12, 2024. If you do not live locally, please contact the Registrar at [email protected]. Intent to Enroll Forms will be accepted by appointment only, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm, with the exception of Presidents’ Day in which forms will be accepted Tuesday through Thursday that week. Forms will also be accepted on Tuesday, February 13th and 27th from 5 pm – 6 pm.

*Kindergarten Intent to Enroll Forms MUST be turned in no later than Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:30 pm, in order to be included in the kindergarten lottery.

Intent to Enroll Forms turned in after the above deadline are placed on the waiting list according to the date and time that the Intent to Enroll Form is accepted by the Registrar.  Please be aware that your wait time for turning in the Intent to Enroll Form may be longer than expected, depending upon how many people are waiting.  Please sign in at the front desk with a valid state issued id.  You will be asked to wait until you are called back to meet with the Registrar.  If you are unavailable when your name is called, your position will be forfeited and the next person will be called.

Step Three:  Kindergarten Lottery - Our annual kindergarten lottery will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 4:00 pm in the Auxiliary Gym.

Step Four:  Kindergarten positions will be offered via telephone beginning the afternoon of Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Step Five:  Once a position has been offered, you have 24 hours to accept the position via telephone at 970-243-1771, ext. 1120.  You may leave a message after regular office hours.

Step Six:  Once you have accepted a position, you have 3 business days to schedule an in-person meeting with the Registrar to turn in your child’s completed Enrollment Packet (they will be available on the website or in the school office on Tuesday, March 5, 2024).  *Please note that up to two parents/guardians plus the student will be allowed on campus for the appointment.

Step Seven:  Attend scheduled meeting with the Registrar with the completed Enrollment Packet.

2024-2025 Kindergarten Lottery Information

The Registrar will begin calling the families to offer Kindergarten positions beginning the afternoon of Wednesday, March 6, 2024. If a position has been offered, you have 24 hours to accept the position via telephone at 970-243-1771, ext. 1120. You may leave a message for the registrar after regular office hours. 

Once you have accepted a position, you have 3 business days to schedule an in-person meeting with the Registrar to turn in your child’s completed Enrollment Packet. See below to download and print (single-sided for best results) or you may pick one up in the school office beginning Tuesday, March 5, 2024.  ​We feel it is important that all members of a family have the opportunity to attend Caprock Academy. If one student is selected, siblings will have a preference for admission. ​
