Community Service Opportunities

We are proud to offer meaningful community service opportunities for our students at Caprock Academy. Participating in service not only fosters personal responsibility and compassion but also reinforces the core values of character, accountability, and citizenship that define our school culture. Whether through school-sponsored projects or individual initiatives, student involvement in community service builds leadership skills, strengthens community ties, and creates a lasting impact beyond the classroom. These experiences also support scholarship applications, college admissions, and future employment. We encourage all students to seek opportunities to serve and to approach each act of service as a way to grow in virtue and contribute to the greater good.

Community service hours can be completed in a variety of ways throughout the school year.  Below is a list of examples that you may find helpful.  Students participating in a community service event should not be paid to preform those duties.

  • Volunteer at a pet shelter
  • Volunteer at an assisted living center
  • Mow a neighbors yard
  • Snow Shoveling
  • Reading to younger students
  • Tutoring younger students
  • Volunteering at school events
  • Picking up trash
  • Pulling weeds
  • Participate in a food drive
  • Helping an elderly neighbor unload groceries
