Cell Phones, Smart Devices, & Backpack Expectations

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, Caprock Academy is implementing several updates regarding student use of cell phones, smart devices, backpacks, and other student expectations during the school day.

These changes are designed to support student learning, increase engagement, strengthen school safety and security, and align with new state requirements regarding student electronic device use during the school day.

At Caprock Academy, we believe students learn best when they are fully engaged in the classroom, focused on instruction, and free from unnecessary distractions. We also recognize that maintaining a safe and secure learning environment requires clear and consistent expectations for all students.

Please review the information below carefully and discuss these expectations with your child before the start of the school year.
