Mrs. Karen Adelgren
Karen is a graduate from Adams State University, with a Masters in School Counseling and is new to Caprock this year. She has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Marketing. Prior to her recent graduation, Karen worked with the Mesa Valley Community School. Karen loves to volunteer, travel, learn and grow, and has previously owned a coffee business. She spends her free time quilting and helping others organize their homes.
Mrs. Correne Coty
Mrs. Coty was born and raised on the Plains of Northeastern Colorado. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received her Bachelors degree in Sociology. Mrs. Coty began volunteering with Caprock Academy during the first enrollment period and has been here ever since. She has two children, Karen who attends Colorado State University in Ft. Collins and Marcus who attends Caprock Academy.
Mrs. Claudia Fanning
Mrs. Claudia Fanning first joined Caprock Academy in 2009 as a substitute and later served as a full-time Special Education aide. She now applies her University of Colorado MBA and career market research experience to compiling reports for the Colorado Charter School Institute and the Colorado Dept. of Education. Mrs. Fanning enjoys spending time with her two sons in Denver, taking RV trips (with her Siberian cats), fishing, hiking, and visiting hot springs with her husband, Dean Joe Fanning.
Mrs. Debbie Hunt
I was born and raised in Western Colorado. I graduated from Grand Junction High School. I was married to Scott Hunt. We moved to Michigan when our two boys, Drew and Brad, were toddlers. Both boys graduated from Novi High School and then went to college, Drew in Indiana and Brad in Illinois. Drew now lives in Broomfield and Brad in Pennsylvania. I enjoy reading, have done stained glass and fused glass. I also love to travel.
Mrs. Heidi Kellogg
My name is Heidi Kellogg. I’m a mother of 3 who have either graduated from or are attending Caprock Academy. We are all active in our church. I have been married for 23 years and have lived in Colorado all my life. We have 2 dogs and 3 chickens. I love to read, crochet, and sew. When I have some time I enjoy baking and decorating cakes.
Mrs. Sarah McBroom
Sarah is new to Caprock this year as a school counselor. She is a 2017 graduate of Adams State University with a Master’s degree in School Counseling. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Western State College (now Western State Colorado University) in Sociology. Prior to school counseling, Sarah worked in the health care field as a CNA in nursing homes and home health. In her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, painting and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Kristy McSchooler
I was born and raised in Grand Junction. I have 2 kids that have been at Caprock since 2008. I have worked as a registered medical assistant for many years including 12 ½ years in pediatrics. I enjoy photography, camping and hiking and spending time with family.
Mrs. Tisha Moore
Tisha Moore grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado. Upon graduating high school, she attended Mesa State College in Grand Junction. After her first year of college she transferred to Colorado Mountain College in Rifle where she began studying Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Moore put her college education on hold to marry her high school sweetheart and to start a family. She has 4 daughters, all of which attend Caprock Academy. Mrs. Moore enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 dogs.
Mrs. Verla Rossi
Mrs. Rossi was raised on her family’s ranch near Craig, CO. She graduated from Moffat County High School and attended college in Casper, Wyoming. The Rossi’s moved to Mack, CO in late 1980 and started their own ranching/farming operation. She worked in a family practice office for eleven years before joining the health office at Caprock Academy. Verla enjoys working outside with the livestock and in her yard, but her favorite activity is spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Jessica Savoya
My name is Jessica Savoya. I love working with the students here and seeing their growth in education.
I was born in Price, UT and lived near there my entire childhood. I graduated from College of Eastern Utah with my degree in Criminal Justice Legal Studies. Prior to working at Caprock, I worked four years with troubled youth at a detention facility.
My husband and I have been married for ten years, and we have two beautiful girls.
Mrs. Shawn Wilkens
Mrs. Wilkens is a Colorado Native, born and raised in Northern Colorado, living the majority of her adult life in Eagle County where she owned and operated a Salon/Spa for 17 years. Shawn enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids and dogs hiking, biking, camping, skiing, watching hockey and being at home. Mrs. Wilkens is proud and honored to be part of the growing Caprock family and the commitment to educational excellence.
