Mrs. Jennifer Buniger
Hi, my name is Jennifer Buniger. I am an Educational Assistant to the amazing SPED team here at Caprock Academy. Helping people is my passion. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work at an exceptional school. My family has been part of the Caprock community for about four years now. We joke that we are, “Caprock for lifers.” I have the very best husband whom I adore, and 4 incredible children. I also have about 10 years of experience serving individuals with various degrees of special needs
Mrs. Ginger Carstens
I joined the Caprock staff in the 2016/17 school year as a Special Education Aide. I am continually grateful for the staff and students here that create such a phenomenal culture. I have been married to my husband since 1999 and we have a daughter who started Caprock in kindergarten. She is now in High School here and I have been able to see firsthand the positive impact of a classical education. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of a school that cultivates confidence and creates thinkers!
Mrs. Shannon Chance
I’m from the small town of Vilonia, Arkansas. I attended the University of Central Arkansas before becoming a mom. My husband and I came on vacation to Colorado in 1997 and fell in love with the mountains. We moved here later that same year and enjoy the beautiful mountains of Colorado. My Husband and I have 3 children and 2 dogs. Some of our favorite things to do are camping, hiking and our newest is river rafting.
Mrs. Donna Gardner
Born and raised in New Zealand I moved to the United States almost 20 years ago, when I married an American whom I met while working for the United States Antarctic Program in Christchurch. During our first year of marriage we spent four months in Antarctica. We then relocated to Johnston Atoll for two years. Johnston Atoll is a very small island located 750 miles from Hawaii. In 2000 we moved to Grand Junction. Our daughter was born in 2002 and attends Caprock Academy.
Mrs. Savannah Wells
Mrs. Wells volunteered in her daughters kindergarten and first grade classes and became very much excited about the possible chance to work here in her future. She joined the Caprock Family in the 2017-18 school year. She loves to go camping with her husband and 2 children. In her spare time she enjoys photography and baking with her children.
Mrs. Heather Skinner
I have two little girls here at Caprock Academy. I stayed home with them for the first eight years being a full time Mom. I enjoyed being a part of their educational experience so much through volunteering and helping out, that I joined the staff here in the Fall of 2014 as an EA . I feel very lucky to be in a position of both parent and staff member here at their school. I graduated from Western State University with my BA in Recreation and my minor in Sociology.
Mrs. Deana Orient
I was born and raised right here in Grand Junction. I started working at Caprock Academy in 2016! I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two beautiful children, both who attend Caprock. We are a very active family and are always looking for excuses to go out and explore the beauty that surrounds us. We go rock crawling in our built up Jeep Grand Cherokee and enjoy conquering new trails as often as we can. If we are not jeeping, you can find us fishing, hiking or camping.
