Carpool Information

Dear Caprock Families,

Caprock Academy understands that transportation can be a hardship due to not having a bussing system.  Instead, Caprock Academy helps facilitate a carpool program to help connect families with other families in their area which also counts towards parent volunteer hours.  Caprock also provides a designated carpool area where students are safely delivered and picked up.  Supervision of students is provided until they are handed off to an authorized pickup person. Once this hand off happens to the authorized pickup person, the school no longer has control over the environment in the vehicle.

If you are currently in a carpool group and have no changes, please send an email to stating there are no changes and you plan to continue to use the same carpool.  In order to help facilitate families who are looking for a family to connect with, please email the following information to

  1. Parent Name
  2. Number of students you have and their grade levels
  3. Number of additional seats you have in your vehicle
  4. Crossroads that are nearest to your home

Once a match is found, the information will be communicated with you and it will be your responsibility to connect with that family to see if it will be a good fit. If it is found to be a good fit, you will be asked to email additional information to so that you can be set up with a carpool number.

COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is VERY CONTAGIOUS, and is believed to be spread mainly through person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing.  The school strongly recommends that families who are carpooling with other families who are considered to be outside their “bubble” wear masks in the car to help mitigate the spread of the virus. We encourage you to follow the public health guidance provided by the health department and federal, state and local experts.

Tags and paperwork will be available for families that currently have a carpool on Friday, July 31st from 9:30-11:00 in front of the school.  If you are in the process of waiting for a good fit, tags will be ready once all information has been received.  If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to email them to
