Board of Directors Member Elections
We are thrilled to introduce two candidates who have stepped forward to apply for the open positions beginning in May of 2026. We encourage all members of our school community to carefully review the profiles of each candidate listed below.
The Board of Directors serves as the governing body of Caprock Academy, entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the school's compliance with its charter, bylaws, and contract with its authorizer. Additionally, the Board is tasked with creating a master plan to guide the school in achieving its Vision, making decisions that align with this Vision. Moreover, the Board plays a crucial role in safeguarding the financial strength and stability of our school.
The Caprock Academy Board of Directors has two (2) seats available for election this year, all of which are open to parents of Caprock students or community members. Each seat carries a term length of three (3) years.

Mrs. Jenna Coffman
Jenna is a long-standing member of the Caprock Academy Board of Directors and a mother of five Caprock Academy students. "Caprock isn’t just something I serve—it’s where my kids learn, grow, and are shaped every day, which makes this work personal for me".
Jenna currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Process Improvement and Innovation at Health Solutions West, where she focuses on building aligned systems, strengthening accountability, and driving measurable outcomes. Her 20-year career in healthcare has been centered on improving how organizations function—from clinical operations and data analytics to leadership structure and long-term sustainability.
She has worked across electronic health records, long-term and post-acute care, and primary and pediatric care, always with a focus on using data to guide decisions and improve outcomes. Today, she works closely with executive leaders to define strategy, set clear metrics, and ensure teams are aligned and moving toward the same goal.
"My time on the Caprock Board over the past five years has reinforced what I believe matters most in governance—clarity, accountability, and a willingness to ask hard questions while staying focused on what’s best for students".
Outside of work and the board, Jenna spends most of her time with her husband and their five kids, usually outdoors—running, exploring, or just being together. That balance keeps her grounded and reminds her why this work matters.

I have many long-term relationships with local SRO’s and District 51 Security Officers and am able to have conversations with these individuals for advice in school safety and policy matters".
Josh's wife Amanda worked at Caprock for a period of time in the SPED department, and they have had children at Caprock Academy continually since 2012. He looks forward to a chance to serve the school with an emphasis of improving safety and maintaining traditional academic values.
