2026-2027 Caprock Academy Board of Directors

The Caprock Academy Board of Directors will be comprised of from three to seven members and will always include a majority of parents. The Board will be elected by the parents/guardians of the students attending Caprock Academy and will operate according to the by-laws laid out by the schools operating committee.

KJ Kline, President

KJ is a financial advisor and co-owner of Hutton and Kline Wealth Management Group. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he was employed in the Oil & Gas Industry and served in the US Navy and US Air Force.

KJ received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado Mesa University and has over 20 years of professional & leadership experience. KJ continues to serve Veterans and the community as the Post Commander for American Legion Post 2006 and has served on the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

KJ resides in Fruita with his wife and 3 daughters. They enjoy the outdoors and frequently hike, camp, and golf.

Ryan McCulley, Vice President

Ryan has served as a wildland firefighter for the past 24 years. He is a Deputy District Chief for the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control in the Wildland Fire Management Section. He is also a licensed Realtor with United Country Real Estate serving the Grand Junction area.  

Ryan graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources - Parks and Protected Area Management and has an Associates Degree from Colorado Mountain College in Outdoor Recreation Leadership.

He is married and has two children, both attending Caprock Academy.

Jenna Coffman, Secretary

Jenna is the Deputy Director of Behavioral Health at Mesa County Behavioral Health, where she has a distinguished career dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the community. With a master’s degree in public health from Creighton University, Jenna brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to her role, overseeing strategic initiatives that address the behavioral health needs of Mesa County.  Throughout her career, Jenna has consistently demonstrated her commitment to enhancing healthcare services, using her administrative acumen to implement programs that make a significant impact on the community. Her work is marked by a passion for advancing the field through innovative and effective approaches. 

 Jenna is also a devoted wife and mother of five, with three of her children currently attending Caprock Academy. One of her children graduated with Caprock Academy's Class of 2021, and another graduated in 2024. Actively involved in her community, Jenna contributes her time and skills to various local initiatives. Even with her demanding professional and family life, she finds time to enjoy the outdoors, running, hiking, and spending time with her family. Her unwavering dedication to both her career and personal life makes her an valuable member of the Caprock Academy Board of Directors.

Randy Wilkens

Randy Wilkens, Treasurer

Randy is the Controller for Great Western Building Systems and has spent his career in the accounting field holding positions of Controller, CFO, and President for a variety of different industries including resort and tourism, real estate development, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, and retail services.  He continues to apply his Bachelor of Arts Accounting Degree from Fort Lewis, Durango, to the community and private industry. 

Prior to joining the Caprock Board of Directors he served as a volunteer for the Caprock Finance Committee for over seven years.  Randy and his wife of 36 years, Shawn, have lived in Mesa County since 2009.  They have two adult children, Lyle and Elsie.  Shawn was employed by Caprock in the Admin Department for seven years.   Lyle is the current Head Hockey Coach for Caprock, and Elsie graduated from Caprock and is currently enjoying her teaching career. 

The Wilkens family are proud to continue supporting Caprock Academy.

Joe Goodwin, Parent Member

Joe is a dedicated husband and proud father of three boys who attend Caprock Academy. He leads his life with unwavering principles, driven by a deep commitment to integrity, responsibility, and compassion. Joe is known for his relentless work ethic and steadfast determination to provide the best for his family.

As a hands-on father, he’s actively involved in his sons’ lives—whether tackling school projects, coaching on the field, or putting in long hours to ensure their future. Joe’s actions speak louder than words, consistently reflecting his devotion to family and his belief in leading by example. His life is a testament to strength, service, and enduring commitment.

Josh Quigley 2026

Josh Quigley, Parent Member

Josh graduated with a BA degree in English from Asbury College and has been a Mesa County Sheriff’s Deputy since 2007.  Currently assigned as a rural deputy, Josh serves in Collbran as a School Resource Officer in addition to responding to criminal, search and rescue, and wildland fire calls. 

Problem-solving unique situations is something Josh does on a regular basis and he is skilled at working though complex and diverse situations.  

Josh’s wife Amanda worked at Caprock for a period of time in the SPED department.  Josh and Amanda have had children at Caprock continually since 2012.  Their family enjoys being outdoors hiking, hunting, and spending time in the mountains together.
